The Twitter birds were adapted from birds in a set of free Twitter Bird icons available at www.productivedreams.com
They play an active part in the blog by bringing links of interesting websites and holding their own events such as weddings and musical performances
going A-MAY-ing and participating in creating challenges
Twitter Bird Bowers have been set up on Sprite’s Site to house the 100 plus musicians, poets, scientists and pirates And during the 2012 Olympics Un-Olympics Bowers were also added to Sprite’s Site
One Twitter Bird usually acts as the spokesperson for the group. There are numerous Twitter Bird musical groups, bands and carol singers. Sometimes the groups combine as the New Twitter Bird Band and present concerts, performances and nativity plays. Lone piper, Angus McTvitter, loves celebrating New Years Eve
The Tweet Family
Sprite’s Site follows the story of the Tweet family and their gifted tweetlets, Tweetil and Tweetelle, and their Great Aunt Hashtag. The storylines have covered subjects such as parenting, giftedness issues, choosing schools, homeschooling and consultations with the Psych-Owl-Ogist

Tweetelle’s Caterpillar Pet
Ever since Tweetelle first met a caterpillar which was supposed to be an ingredient for Great Aunt Hashtag’s famous caterpillar ragout Tweetelle has been a seedetarian and kept a pet caterpillar. It turned into a Monarch butterfly at Easter time

The Origami Secretary Bird
The Origami Secretary Bird has been part of Sprite’s Site since September 2009 and has been instrumental in the organization of events and in ensuring compliance with Origami Secretary Bird Union rules and the Memory Elephants Manifesto. Echidna and Kiwi

Since October 2010 The Lobsters have conducted the Annual Lobster Fest on Sprite’s Site complete with the Lobster Lolly Lobbing competition and a performance of the Lobster Quadrille by the Lobster Lewis Carollers. Forensic Lobsters are always investigating the demise of members of their species and the chief suspects are always The Wicked Lemon Wedges.
