Fractured Nursery Rhymes

Sprite was very pleased with herself.
The exercise had been to write a variation on the nursery rhyme to describe your own home situation and illustrate it.
They were given this:
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe
She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do;
She gave them some broth without any bread;
Then whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.

She said what she wanted to write was:

I know Ms Leg who lives in a cast
The result of having a reckless past
The outside is plaster the inside is itchy
No wonder Ms Leg is often so bitchy

 But she didn’t think the teacher would like that!

So here is her final version

I know Ms Leg who lives in a cast
Her resources clearly are not very vast
The walls are of plaster sprayed with graffiti
“Let me out, let me out!” is her entreaty
